
The district gives enrollment preference to resident students who move before the application deadline. The district gives enrollment preference to choice applicants who have completed the terminal grade of the sending district (i.e., students who attend a choice district with grades that terminate before 12th grade and have a natural progression to this choice district), provided there are choice seats available in the choice-approved grades/programs and the students meet any program-specific criteria. Extensions of the encore subjects are: Band, Chorus, Spanish, Enrichment, Science Club, and Drama Club. Extracurricular sports include: Cross Country, Baseball, Softball, Soccer, Volleyball, Basketball, Lacrosse, and Ski/Snowboard Club. Students have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of activities beyond the school day. Service learning projects begin at the primary level and continue through middle school. Our district is committed to service learning providing our students with the opportunity to be active citizens in supporting their local community, country, and world. IPad carts also support the infusion of technology in the classroom in grades K. The district has a 1:1 computer program (Chromebooks) for grades 1-8.

We have a fully automated library/media center. We believe that technology is most beneficial when integrated into the instruction program. Students with special needs receive services using an inclusive model combining the expertise of special education teachers with highly qualified content area teachers. Our sixth through eighth grade-level teams provide students with departmentalized instruction and design integrated units incorporating differentiated learning activities to focus on the strengths of each student. In Kindergarten through fourth grade, we offer an integrated, balanced literacy program with ongoing assessments to target the individual needs of our students in self-contained classes with an average class size of 17 students.įifth grade is a transitional year for students as they make an adjustment from a self-contained classroom to grade-level teams. The Holland Township School District provides a comprehensive educational program for approximately 504 students from Pre- K through Eighth Grade that includes a full day Kindergarten program.
